The words “Separation” and “Divorce” accurately describe the experience of being torn from or torn apart from someone and something. We marry with the hope and intention of sharing our lives, becoming one, and growing old together. The separation and divorce of a marriage is a tearing of the heart and shattering of dreams. It permanently alters how a couple relates and how each partner understands life.
Despite the fact that it has become relatively commonplace and convenient from a legal perspective, the reality of separation and divorce awakens and evokes anguish of heart and mind that is not as easily resolved. Confusion, anger, loneliness, depression, economics, children and paralyzing bitterness are just a few of the stressful problems demanding attention on this journey.

You may have heard of the Divorce Care program and you may have seen signs for this resource. This is because Divorce Care offered by Church Initiative is providing the tools for churches like StoneBridge to offer help and hope for the separated and divorced.
